Holley Stealth Ram throttle cable sticking problem

Hey guys, I've been trying really hard at getting things wrapped up on my intake swap from TPI to HSR. Had it running great until it just decided that my throttle would stay stuck open if i gave it gas. It would run at about 3,000 rpms, as soon as I shut the engine off I could see the throttle move back to closed (or so I thought). Turned out looking closer at it, it wasnt even fully closing, as it wouldn't touch the idle stop screw without me pushing back on it. I decided to take the throttle cable off of it and it doesnt stick open, and it returns back to the idle stop screw as it should. I read somewhere that the throttle body mounts a little further to the left than what it does on the TPI, causing more of an angle on the cable? Is there any way to correct this? I'm also running into an issue with my cruise control cable, as its about a half inch too short from reaching where it hooks up. Do I just need to replace all of these cables with something else?

Re: Holley Stealth Ram throttle cable sticking problem

Well, after turning the minimum idle screw to open the throttle more, seems like it returns ok enough. I guess maybe the screw was so far back the cable just doesn't have enough pull going that far back? I did put a new throttle body on, upgraded from a 52mm to 58mm, so no adjustments were made until today. Now I just have a totally different issue that makes no sense. Car backfires when put in gear in now, and everything seems to be adjusted right where it should be. Going to probably go back through and readjust valves, as that's the only thing I can think of being off.. fun fun
