Cruise control not working...
So my cruise control is not working at all. Today I checked all the vacuum lines and decided to replace the one from the "T" to the vacuum ball under the fender because it looked pretty rough. When I pulled it off the ball I heard it suck air in as if it had been holding vacuum.
What should else I be looking at? It's like it's not even turning on. Also not sure how the system works as a whole.
Thanks

Re: Cruise control not working...
Unlike your Corvette that requires no extra hardware because it already has cruise control functionality built into the TAC module, your IROC uses a ridiculously complex contraption of hoses, diaphragms, cables, wires, switches and even an extra stand-alone module for cruise control. There is a lot that can go wrong, it could be as simple as a corroded terminal on the brake pedal switch connector, but there's a whole lot that needs to go right in order for the cruise control to work on these things. You may get lucky and find the problem easily, or you might have to get into some deeper diagnostics. Starting with the vacuum lines was an excellent place to start. As a next easy step that doesn't require too much effort, I would check the cleanliness of all the electrical connections in the system.
