CrossFire Injection build suggestions?

83 Z-28

Yes I know everyone hates on the Crossfire but it's a rare set up that I want 2 keep.

Looking for idea's on how I should milk some extra power.

Also idea's on how I could increase the MPG while keeping it around standard HP ect would also be nice.

Re: CrossFire Injection build suggestions?

lots of performance potential with the crossfire-I made a lot of modifications to mine.First things for a stock 305 crossfire include:
-exhaust upgrade-LU5 has better setup than LG4,but could still benefit from improvement-an L69 setup or equivalent would be enough.
-fuel pump upgrade/fuel pressure increase -FPR can be modified to turn pressure up to ~14-15 PSI
-intake manifold modification /porting-even just a rounding/smoothing of runner entrance will help, but more extensive work will get a big increase in flow.
-camshaft upgrade-LU5 uses same cam as '86 "small cam" TPI 305 -could upgrade to cam similar to L69/85"big cam"TPI 305/'vette L83,L98 350,ETC.

I am 99.9% positive that the LU5 came with the L83 cam.
