Two matters of opinion needed~
Specs:
88 camaro
383
700r4
street/strip
86+ block
aluminum heads
no stall
1) New intake, the Edelbrock 2701 performer EPS. Good, bad or the ugly?
2) Port matching? Will I see gains that are worth the effort?

Re: Two matters of opinion needed~
What compression, cam, and more detail on the heads?
The 2701 is just a tick better than the performer and the performer is just a hair better than stock.
The performer RPM is the gold standard for street/strip sbc intakes IMHO.
383 can move a lot of air and I feel if the cam and heads are anything more than stock the performer eps will be a bottle neck and choke the power

64cc/205cc heads, 10.3/1 CR and no cam yet. Considering the ***** Thumpr but not final yet, I need to match all m components first before I purchase a cam. This is what I am doing.
Performer RPM or the AirGap a better choice?
Remember, this is a street engine with MAX RPM at 5500/6000

RPM Air Gap is really the cream of the crop as far as street cars go, even if you're maxing at 6000 RPM. I wouldn't recommend a ***** Thumpr. They sound cool, if you like the massive lopey idle, but that's about it. You'd be leaving a lot of power on the table, in my opinion.
Do you have springs on the heads yet? What's your limitation in lift?
Flat tappet or roller?
