Alternator pulley bolt. Reverse or normal threads?
Are the threads reversed or normal. I'd think they're reverse so they don't self loosen. Of course, if installed properly, it may never come off, so maybe they're normal. If you google this, there are countless threads suggesting it's either one OR the other. ...car is an 89. ...not quite enough threads showing to see.

Might have to use an impact gun when dealing with a pulley.
I usually try to break pulley bolts loose using the tension from the belt but that's mostly useless so I take it to a shop or rent an electric impact gun from a auto parts store.
Or there's this = http://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-h...nch-68099.html
