ive tried multiple different things, and spent hours searching for a possible reason as to why my car wouldnt start. ive replaced the icm and the battery. i have tried to use starting fluid, however that took me nowhere. im starting to think it may be a spark plug problem, however im uncertain at this point. any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

 

Ignition module in the distributor? Cap and rotor? Clogged fuel injector. Did you start with the cheap and make your way to the expensive yet?

 

Do you hear the fuel pump priming? Possible VATS issue.

 

yes, the fuel pump seems to work. i just picked up a fuel filter in hopes that its something stupid simple.

 

ive changed the ignition module, i just got some fuel injector cleaner and a new fuel filter.

im gonna check out my injectors once i get back.

 

Did you just buy the car off someone or have you had it stored away? When you turn the car does it attempt to crank or is there no noise at all? Check the condition of the wiring coming off the battery to the starter. Take a video of you trying to turn the car on.

 

i got it off of my mothers boss back in august. it used to run beautifully.

when i try to start it, it cranks but just doesn't start.

i dont know if this may be relevant, but my automatic gear shifter moves withouy pressing the break and/or button the the top of the shifter.
