having problems with my flip up headlights...PLEASE HELP!

having problems with my flip up headlights...PLEASE HELP!
for the last week or so my driver side light hasnt been comin up at the same time as the passenger side one
it doesnt come up slower it just pauses for a couple seconds and then comes up
but tonight when i was leaving work it took a minute or 2 b4 it would come up
is it doin this cuz it is cold out or is it ready to quit?

welcome to the club of the non working headlights,
pretty soon they will go down, and when they do you will hear a grinding\buzzing like noise, you'l hear this for a while, depending on how lucky u are, then u will know the end is near, the light will stop wanting to open, but you'l be lucky that its still closing, and it only needs asistance to open, this will be a sign of things to come, for soon the light will refuse to open, and it won't even close. and you will for sure know that these events are happening, it will be as clear as anything can be, and you will be depressed and angry at the poor actions of your lights, but do no dispair, for there is a way out, there is a solution, its not easy but its the only way.
in other words, the plastic gears inside the motor housing are becoming stripped.
there is a fix for this in the tech articles.
