car runs strange code 14 and 42

Hey folks

Ok, so I thought I FINALLY fixed my car, long story, since last summer. All started with installing a high performance starter last year.

Ok, so I adjusted the IAC and new TPS. That fixed a code 22 I was getting where the car would start, but then die.

After that fix, car ran GREAT, no more codes, starts, revs perfectly. I let it sit for a while and went back to it. Now I get a code 14, and 42 sporadically. If I shut it down, sometimes she starts up with no codes, no issues. Try to drive it, and the codes come back. In gear, it jumps, like its getting gas with out me trying, then stalls.

Last thing I will be doing is checking for vacuum leaks. I replaced a bunch of stuff.
TPS
Coolant sensors
fuel injectors
EGR and lead wire, both new
new plenum and runner gaskets
new valve cover gaskets
all vacuum hoses
PCV
full tune up, plugs, cap and wires

man I so want to drive this car!!

a lot of looks but no response?? Its ok. This is an odd issue. The problem comes and goes. I start it up, get the codes. Engine idles ok. let it sit a bit, start it, no check engine light, runs awesome.

I am waiting on a smogger from eBay so I can test for vacuum leaks. will post update. But it anyone has seen this before, would appreciate any input!! thanks!

Well can close this thread. I am going to take the car to a GM dealer to resolve these codes.

Sorry can't you right now,but I find most of my problems was vacuum leak.spray some starter fluid on your vac lines,if the RPM's go up that's a leak.

Well I should have added that was my last thing I was going to do. I bought a smoker machine and will tape off the intake and pump fog into it to see if there are any leaks. Stupid codes are driving me nuts!! thanks Mantaguy. Will update once I have done the leak test.

Well I did the smog test. I found the lower vacuum tube just before the plenum had a very slight leak. I cut some of the hose back stopped the leak. Been starting car all afternoon and let it heat up etc. No more codes. Hope it stays that way! But she sounds amazing now!! Ty for the help!

Just like I thought, it only lasted for a bit. Now I start it up, same stuff. But only code 42, code 14 is gone.

I am opening a new thread for code 42, this one can be completed.
