Probably mostly in steering geometry. You can only turn the wheels so much before they interfere with something.

It's all in the technique. If steered with both the steering wheel and the right pedal the turning radius can be incredibly short. Wrong wheel drive cars cannot get it done with even a much shorter wheelbase.
