I am thousands of miles away in England and I managed to find an imported Third Gen. I urgently need to know what the correct TV/Detent/Kickdown Cable is for my car. If I order wrong I am screwed as the Shipping is so expensive!

STOCK 1987 CAMARO IROC-Z 305 TPI with a 700r4 Trans.
VIN 1G1FP21F1HN111538

What is the correct part number and the correct length specified? I keep finding AC25521263 but it says 61"!!

So the cable should be 25521263 at 61"?

what does (5.0F), CODED OD mean? It seems to state this on all the ebay/amazon listings

 

I have a new adjustable cable. Let me know if interested (netherlands so nit halfway across the globe)

It's a b&m part or tci. Forgot. Universal tv canle. You can change the length of the cable utself. It has an adjuster that lets you extend or shorten the sleeve. It's basically 2 canles slid into each other. As long as you adjust the sleeve to an appropriate length from trans to tv bracket you can lock it down and then adjust the pull cable. The stock ones are not available or at least I couldn't find one. Had a spare but swapping in a t56 so won't need it

 

If all that is broken is that little plastic clip , you do know that for around $2 there is a replacement that fits right on and you won't have to replace the cable ?

I thought about that and tried to fix. The cable is trashed inside and sticks I can see its rusted. Needs chucking out. The adjuster keeps pulling out the housing too

Hope my trans isnt burnt now.
