T56 rebuild

Got a 2001 vintage t56. The downshift to 1st and 2nd is becoming difficult. I assuming I have a shift fork/synchro problems. In the scenario I have to pull it out (inevitable) what are opinions on rebuilt kits? Stock, Tick, D&D, ect. Car will make 350-450 hp. Broad range, I know. But I'm not sure my direction yet.
Thanks. All opinions welcome

Re: T56 rebuild

Teardown first. No need to make multiple parts orders if you can call The Gear Box one time.

Although the 3-4 fork is more commonly a problem (if it's aluminum, replace it,) a 1-2 fork issue at the steel link comes up.

Billet keys & bronze pads are popular.

Are you running it behind an LS engine?

Yes. Behind a stock ls1 now. May do heads and cam. Trans is first on the list though
