Why does my ac compressor do this

Car: 88 trans am GTA
Engine: 5.7
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Why does my ac compressor do this

It cycles on and off really quickly, when it's on it blows cold. I have a video but not sure how to upload it here

Don't run it too much with a low refrigerant charge. Refrigerant is needed to circulate the refrigerant oil.

Put a gauge on it and see if it's low on refrigerant.
