Sparkplug grounding strap broke off
My number one sparkplug grounding strap broke off. That cylinder always runs a little leaner than the others, and I fired nitrous off... 150HP shot... then checked plugs. All look fine, and even the broken one looks like it ran rich. The end of the strap at the break is not molten pocketed, no bubbly deposits... more like shear break... probably hammered under some detonation...
Here's my plan, I'm going to fish for it in the cylinder using a magnet, and assume that it exited the exhaust valve if I don't find anything.
What are ur thoughts, guys, on this?
I need some feedback.

Been there, done that.
You're right- I would read that as detonation basically blowing the sucker off.
I wouldn't bother fishing for the electrode. It either welded itself to something inside the chamber (unlikely) or it flew out the exhaust 3 miliseconds after it broke free from the plug (more likely).
My 94 LT-1 Formula blew 7 out of the 8 platinum "pucks" off the side electrodes of the stock Delco dual platinum plugs. You can imagine that I freaked out about like you did, only 7 times worse. I found every damned one of them embedded in the honeycomb brick inside the catalytic converter several months later when I removed it (for unrelated reasons).
Just don't run lean (I guarantee you ran lean, not rich) and make sure you are not consuming any oil in that cylinder. Nitrous letonates like CRAZY if you are burning any oil in the cylinder along with the gas. I am not saying this incident would CAUSE any oil consumption problems (although it might) but that there might have been some oil consumption goign on before this that caused the incident.
