Engine: 5.7
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73
What sensor is this?

Is this known as the cold start or electric Choke as they call it? Not the shiny one but the one next to it. 88 trans am gta 5.7 tpi. 5




Car is starting hard when warm like it's flooding and read it could be this sensor I believe, but want to confirm first

That is a timed thermal switch. Yes it does control the control the cold start injector, which is located on the rear bottom of the left runner pipe.

A very simple troubleshooting technique here , if you think the "Cold start injector switch" is shorted and powering the injector during warm starts would be to simply unplug the switch , and see if the warm starting problem still exists .
