Victor Jr. Race engine
Victor Jr. Race engine
Very simply what kidna power would i expect with all victor Jr. rae parts on a 350
23 degree heads
super victor jr intake
edelbrock carb (850?)
victor jr. camshaft
and some headers and exhuast
Also at what RPM woudl i expect the huge power gains
4000-7500?
Could i even drive this around town
I knwo a guy who peaks at liek 7000 RPM which is what this system is supposed to do and he still drives it all around.

a chp test a while back with the vicjr combation got 503.
I find this a little high for a solid lifter cam with nothing special.
They were using 12 to 1 compression.
I will plug the combination (as soon as i find it). into dd2k and see what it says.
edit
My bad, it was 9.5 to 1 comp and it made 503 hp at 6450 rpm.
They also put 2 4bbls carbs on it and raised the compression to 10.6 and it made 574 hp at 7500 rpm.
But, that was with some headflow numbers that were reported by the test (and were a little high). DD2k says:
507hp with the airflow numbers from the CHP flow to go tests
468 ft/lbs torque
516hp with the airflow numbers from the test (oct99)
471 torque
Hp peaks were at 6500 and torque at 5000.
The above numbers were with 12 to 1 comp. Dropping it down to 9.5 comes out to be about 470hp
