Simple Fix?????????

My 87Z28 305 tpi will not accelerate when pressing on gas pedal. The rpms slowly climb but upon releasing the gas pedal the car will accelerate forward? Anyone run into this issue??

My first suspicion is the TPS (throttle position sensor).

Ill give it a check, I adjusted it a bit and it did idle quite better, thanks for your thoughts.

I'd make sure you see voltage rise smoothly as you give it throttle. Should be .54 -> 4v+ if it's the same as mine.

Re: Simple Fix?????????

So turned out not to be the tps sensor. Yesterday evening I unplugged the maf sensor and assemby and it idles high but keeps an idle and accelerates pretty smooth. Might this point to the Maf being the culprit even though its not throwing a code for maf?
