Well, after 15 years I felt it was time to get my old Camaro going again. After removing all the mouse nests, checking the wiring, changing the oil, and replacing the plugs I was ready to fire it up. All the wires "look" good, I haven't seen any chewed ones. The car will not crank. I do have a Viper alarm installed and I held my hand on the starter disable and felt for the solenoid clicking, which it was. Even tried to jump the heavy wires going in to the solenoid with no luck. I am just hoping for some advise as where to look for a reason it wont crank. On the bright side I did get the engine to fire on fluid with the key on and a remote starting switch which was promising.

 

Edit, I did just probe both sides of the starter disable and with the key in the start position, I was getting 12V on both sides, so I don't think it is the alarm that is holding it back. Could there be a fuse somewhere on the starting circuit. I looked at the fuses on the drivers side. Is there another fuse block somewhere?

 

I figured it out, when I took the interior out to have it redone, I unplugged the harness on the gear shifter. I assume the car thought it was in gear. Plugged it in and she cranked over.
