are you trying to pass visual smog regs.??

cool..,a fellow Bostonian, assuming that the headers you've got have the same air tubes that my hedmens have, the 3/4" thread steel plumbing end-caps w/teflon tape from the hardware store will seal those up. being that Mass. is getting more and more **** about smog...I would get the connections of your old manifolds (or the JY if you don't have them anymore) and use those since that's what the smog-legal headers are designed to hook up to,they have one way check valves, but you could hook up the hoses and plug them to make sure, and run them to a dummy smog pump (hollowed) if your concerned about the smog *****.

yeah i have those little things from the hardware store, the funny thing is is that the valve on my driver side acually goes to the egr, because i have vortec heads and they dont have egr, so you have to route it from the header into the intake, and since i heard that tapping into the headers will cause turbulance and you loose hp i just hooked it up t the holes that were already there, and i think it works

what i did was cut them off, i took some big bolt cutters and cut off every one of them and clamped them shut and grinded the tips to melt them shut, have not had any problems yet with leaking, and i also took a digrinder to the inside of the headers and did some major clean up and took out the extention of the pipe inside of the header.

Why would you want to remove the A.I.R. connections in the first place? When I installed my headers, I did the same thing and used conventional pipe thread caps, but later on decided to reinstall my A.I.R. system. Hell, I couldn't give two sh*ts about emissions, but if something is designed to work with a system like that, its generally better to leave it. I dunno about your car, but there was two sensors plugged into the regulator on my A.I.R., and until I reinstalled it and plugged them back in, the car didn't run right. Just a thought, keep the A.I.R.

why you ask?? why not is the question when you have no cat no emissions no egr no nothing. all it is, is a big ball of crap sitting on top of your headers and the tubs going down into the headder you might as well got some 1/100 size primaries because the size advertized is half the size of that from the excessive amount to crap in there
