Is my poor IROC hurt?
My cars stored but had to pull it out in 4 foot of snow. I went to pull it back in (With half a frozen car cover on it). Had traction problems just getting it in the garage from the driveway. Got it in, heard gargling. Temp gage was peaked at 260.
How do I tell if I broke something? I warmed the car up for 15 min and pulled it in about in 5 minutes. I have no idea why, or when it started overheating.

Well, I'd wait to see how it runs. If you want to be **** I guess you could do a compression test, and cylinder leakage test. The stupid things run around 230* stock so I'm not sure 260* would kill anything.
I've buried my temperature gauge on my 5.7 while running very hard in the summer without a problem. The only thing that I noticed was a little smoke off the rear of the motor at the bottom (main seal?).
I ran the car with the heater on and the hood open and it cooled itself back down in a few minutes.... Then back onto the race track! No harm, no foul.

Just a thought... do you have a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water? Maybe it's a little on the watery side and it's frozen so that it can't circulate. Along the same idea - I had a Nova years ago and I was down on coolant which also wouldn't circulate until I topped it up. Minus 10 celcius - my heater didn't work and the car overheated!
