what gears
what gears
How can i tell what gears i have. Its a 91 z-28 350 TPI I recently had them replaced and they don't feel like im getting the same response out of them. It feels like i got less low end pull. I read on a post earlier that if you go 70 mph @2730 RPMs you had 2.7 3in the rear. I tried this and got 2730 rpms at 70.. HO w accurate is this?????
Please help i think i got screwed by the dealership

As long as you have stock tire heights and an accurate tach, this it works perfectly. Just make sure you're in D and not OD.

your certainly not going to be able to tell if they put in a different gear by checking your speed with the tach. no matter what gear you put in, the tach and speedo will read as if the stock gear were in there unless you've changed the speedo gear. if your questioning what they put in then take the part number off your reciept in and check with the parts dept to find out what gear it is.

True, the speedo will be off if the gears have been changed from factory and the speedo gear in the tranny wasn't changed, but the tach won't be affected.
