Where is the Manifold Air Temp sensor?

So I bought an 87 Camaro recently. It has a carbureted 305 in it if that helps. Anyway, I need it to pass deq before I can really start driving it everywhere but the check engine light is spitting out a code 23 which is a "manifold air temp sensor" as stated here:

http://www.iroczone.com/2009/10/1982...maro-firebird/

The problem is I don't know exactly where that is. It seems that quite a few things were changed or removed from the previous owners. There's no place on the intake filter (which I'm not sure is stock either) to replace any sensor and I can't find one on the intake manifold either. I can include pictures if that helps.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Carbureted 3rd gens don't have a MAT. For them, Code 23 means mixture control solenoid or circuit.

You are my lord and savior. This makes so much more sense since I found the plug for that solenoid with nothing plugged in and I was wondering what it was for.

I'll settle for "helpful"...

Hope you can find the connector, and that takes care of the problem.

Now that I think about it, the location of the one plug seems a bit off for a mixture control solenoid. There's a plug in the passenger side fender and some other various plugs around the engine bay. Do you have any idea where the correct plug should be? Thanks.
