Camshaft Distributor Gear Question
I'm trying to finally get my car running again, and I can't seem to figure out what type of gear my cam has on it. I have an Engine Works 135286H, which is a hydraulic flat-tappet, but there seems to be limited information online about the Engine Works cams, and I haven't been able to confirm the gear type. It seems that the safe route would be to buy one of the composite gears for my distributor, but I would like to avoid spending that $100 if I can. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? Thanks.

Re: Camshaft Distributor Gear Question
Just the regular stock replacement gear is needed. You do not need a special hear for any flat tappet cam that I am aware of.

Re: Camshaft Distributor Gear Question
aftermarket cams are made from a harder steel so getting a melonised gear would be advisable. If its the stock cam then the stock gear is fine.

Re: Camshaft Distributor Gear Question
That's not a billet cam. Use a stock gear.
