Spectra Premium fuel pump
Hey guys. Getting ready to do a tank/sender/pump.
In my research I've found that getting the Spectra sending unit WITH the pump is about $20 (CDN) cheaper than getting without!
Have any of you guys ran this pump?
My plan was/is to use a Bosch 69238 pump but if you guys are having good results with the Spectra I just might use it.
Thanks!

I'll just say.. Spectra is not a brand that I'd have confidence in.

At least I can say that the Bosch pump holds up very well. I replaced it two years ago. Didn't read a lot of good things about Spectra. My new Spectra Premium radiator was leaking after about 2 years only.

The Deatschwerks pumps are really nice - quiet too. And about $100 for pump and install kit. We use them on imports all the time. I've probably installed 100 of them in the last year. Have one in my 86 TA for the last two years. Flawless.
Stock pump is in the neighborhood of 120 to 150 liters per hour. The Walbro's and Deatschwerks pumps are 255 liters per hour. For the price..... why not. The Walbro's are noisy but the Deatschwerks are silent like stock or like that Bosch.
Just sayin - for the work involved why not just get the bad a$$ pump in the first place and never touch it again?

Maybe I should have picked up a Deutchwerks instead of a Walbro for my Mustang. Oh well, too late can't return it now.
In the case of my Trans Am, it's a stock 305 TBI and staying pretty much stock as a rock. The only possibilty of anything will be an exhaust down the line so the Bosch pump will do the trick!
