Altered Emissions
This is my first third gen Camaro, they were brand new when I was in highschool and always wanted one. So I feel like one of the previous owners may have altered the emissions on this car. Here is a picture for you good Camaro owners to see what has been done.

Re: Altered Emissions
Assuming your signature pic is of you launching the car, I'm thinking you like the modifications made to the car. BTW, what brand of vacuum pump and oil separator?
EDIT: Never mind, found it. Star Machine, nice looking piece. I like the tank.

It hits pretty hard and can drive to and from the track. Here is a timeslip, eighth mile personal best with the car so far. RT says I am still getting to know her.

Re: Altered Emissions
Good 1/8 mile results. What CID is the motor? Does it run pump gas? Can you run the 1/4 mile where you are or only 1/8?

Re: Altered Emissions
You were joking about your feeling on this I presume. Pretty much anything not having to do with the car going or stopping is history. I'm willing to bet the sound system is minimal as well...

Re: Altered Emissions
To The OP, did you build the car or buy it this way? There was some serious coin spent on it.

Re: Altered Emissions
I bought it. My dad bought it in 2011 out of PA from racingjunk or something. I have talked to the guy that built it. He found it gutted with a mild steel cage and a 9". He had a chrome molly 8.50 cert cage installed, tubular x-member, control arms, motor mounts, serious subframe ties and chassis work. He did spend some serious coin on it. Put a stock dash back in, power windows and mirrors work, all the glass is still in it!

[QUOTE=MobileHomie;6147109]Yes, I was joking around with this thread. I take it this is more of a purist site?
I get the joke. My wipers work, though I never drive my car in the rain.
I wouldn't say this is a purist site. This is a site for every fan of the 3rd gen F-body. There are the purist preservationists and/or restorers of now rare mint condition specimens. Then there are the hotrodders who love these cars for their awesome potential. I would be one of these, I also take great pride in my IROC Z28 and try to keep it clean and well cared for.
I'm glad you enjoy owning a 3rd gen. I hope that you also get to enjoy working on it yourself. That to me is half the joy of owning it.

^^ What he said.
I noticed you have the same dipstick on your trans that I installed on a toy car (coincidentally, also on an E85 but 385 SBC). It works, but I hate it. Filling takes half a day, and it pops out. Does yours?

Re: Altered Emissions
Lokar makes some decent parts, like their TV and throttle cables. Their dipstick tubes suck. I've put them in a few hotrods. The instructions tell you to glue the tube into the trans with RTV. The tube still pulls right out with your hand.
