Intermittent starting issues with 383 stroker

383 stroker in '71 Stingray. It has a 650 Edelbrock carb with HEI ignition? It runs good for the most part but now it tuns over but won't start. It has happened a couple of times over the last 6 months but if I let it sit for a couple hours it would start. Now it won't fire...any ideas? Thanks , Brian

Fuel or spark, because you're losing one. Tell us about your ignition system.

Good Luck

you might want to use a spark tester next time it fails to start. It could be a faulty icm or pu coil.

Will it start fine if the engine is "cold" but not when you are trying to start it when it's "hot?" Or it is a true intermittent that sometimes it wont start cold and sometimes it won't start warm? Also, once it starts does it run perfectly normal?
