Recommendations for 1989 IROCZ 350 rebuild that passes smog.

Looking for recommendations on Cam selection and compression target to maximize horsepower and torque but still able to pass California smog inspection.

Engine specifics:
1. Accel Ho Flow lower intake. CARB exempt.
2. A,S& M high flow tubes. CARB exempt.
3. AFR 195 Aluminum heads (part# 1034) CARB exempt.
4. Forged pistons
5. Stock crank, and rods
6. Comp cam: recommended part numbers as a "great fit": 08-412-8, 08-501-8, 08-465-8, 08-302-8, 08-304-8.
7. Edelbrock 6872 shorty headers. CARB exempt.
8. L98 stock block.

Transmission will be a 6 speed T56.

Would like to hear from those who have re-built similar motors in California and passed smog.
