EGR solenoid question

Hi,

I need a EGR solenoid for 86 camaro 2.8L v6 but am having a really hard time finding one. Does any one know if the part is interchangeable with other model years?? Would one from 87 work as well??

Thanks

Re: EGR solenoid question

All it is, is an electrically operated valve. Yes/no. No power, it's closed and blocks off the vacuum that would go to the EGR valve itself; apply power, it opens and lets the vacuum through.

They're COMPLETELY universal, except for mechanical mounting details like mounting and the plug style and shape. So yeah...
