So I'm entirely new to performing maintenance on a vehicle. I've just purchased a 91 Camero, V8 5.0L with 200k miles. The first time I really got on it was today. Mustang pulled up next to me at the light and I couldn't help it, 16 year old me woke up. after stopping for traffic at the next light, I heard/felt a problem which turned out to be my serpentine belt had started to shred. I bought a new belt, thought I had it installed but was slightly off, and ended up breaking the ac delete pully. New pulley ordered, waiting for arrival as my car sits in a parking lot. Does anyone have pictures of this particular routing. I took some before removal of old belt but another photo couldn't hurt. Any wisdom regarding tensioner? Any reason this might have happened other than the belt was just old and needed to be replaced?

Don't try racing mustangs with a TBI RS. Unless you're lined up with a 4cyl, or Pinto (Mustang II) you're a bit outgunned. Not worth the risks, fines, insurance premiums...
