91 Z28 no spark, help?

alright, so I’ve been battling this no spark issue for quite awhile now. It all started when I went to pull into the gas station and the car just cut off. Went to go start the car again and it just cranked and cranked, every other crank it would back fire just a small amount. Long story short I got it towed home and it sat for a while before I started to mess with it. I’ve changed the cap and rotor, new ignition control module and new coil. I decided to test the pick up coil today and it only fluctuated between 0 and .5 volts. I read online that it should fluctuate between .3 and 1.8 volts. Everything else has tested out okay. I’m stumped, even with that low of a reading on the pick up coil would it still be a good part or is my pick up coil the problem? Tired of throwing parts at the car and not getting anywhere. Thanks in advance guys.

I am guessing that you have checked for 12 volts to the coil and distributor from the ignition and checked the grounds.
The quickest way to me to diagnose those distributors is to unplug the electrical plugs on the distributor and unplug the ignition coil wire from the distributor and plug a spark tester into the coil wire and plug up a known to be good or new distributor to the electrical connectors and lay the body of the distributor on the engine so it will ground, then turn the key to the on position, then spin the distributor gear and check for spark,it will also pulse the injectors too but without the coil plugged to the old distributor cap it will not fire the spark plugs so it will not hurt anything.
