I have a 1988 iroc with a 350 tpi engine, when i start my car in the morning the engine starts but quickly dies, i restart and the same thing happens until about the third time then the car will start and idle but when i try to drive the car wants to hesitate really bad until the car warms up then she runs fine, what could be the problem? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Re: Cold engine issue

Could be any number of things. Last one I had that did that eventually started missing all the time, new injectors cleared it up. You'll have to troubleshoot it, look for disconnected wires, loose clamps between the maf and throttle body, etc. Check the computer for codes. Etc.

Re: Cold engine issue

I’m not pulling any codes and I’ve checked the clamps, is there a way i can check to see if the injectors are good

Re: Cold engine issue

Test the resistance of each injector. Then do a balance test. You can get a cheap pulse tester from amazon or ebay.
