Does a ford EEC IV TPI need to be grounded, i.e. why do they recommend dielectric sil
!(88 Ford E350 460 ci) no spark , all tests point to faulty module ( new from NAPA), used Artic Silver 5, instead of silicone as I thought heat transfer was reason for use of bonding gel) ?

Did you replace the pickup in the distributor? The pickup and TFI are supposed to be serviced in pairs. Usually easier to just get a remanned distributor.
