hello, I'm new here. I am in France. I own for a few years a pontiac firebird of 1991 with a GM 3.1 v6 engine.

For some time she has asked me a problem and I need your help.

my idle becomes very unstable when I'm in deceleration with the car. she even manages to stall.

Otherwise the idle works very well, and I have no hole or loss of power during acceleration.

imagine, I roll and then I release the accelerator to stop, it will start stalling then the regime goes up, and so on until the vehicle is stopped.

The gearbox could produce this problem? it's a th700r4 it gets me together.

the problem does not appear when, slowing down I go to neutral, and it seems to me that this only happens when I'm on my gear lever in overdrive position.

If you have recently disconnected the battery or unplugged the ECM, need to do an idle learn procedure. On the V6 board here on TGO do a search using my user name and idle + learn for the keywords.

There are a couple of threads that outline how to do an idle learn.
