Stall Problem SES Light Comes On Code 34
New to the site, so I might be in the wrong location for this.
I finally picked up another Camaro. 1987 Base Camaro w a 2.8 Auto, mileage is only 68K (Kms) overall nice condition.
When I first start: It starts OK (no SES light), runs then shortly stalls (within 10-20 seconds after start) either under power in Drive/Reverse or in Park. I then restart, Service Engine Soon Light comes on, and car runs fine, NO issues. I just picked it up, put 600KMs on it to get it home, and again, other than the start stall issue, it runs fine.
Checked the codes and it shows 34 problem w the MAF Sensor??
NOTE: Disconnected the MAF while starting and while running , but no change to the problem or the idle.
Any ideas? Love the Car, but don't want to be starting twice each time I run it.
Would rather try and fix the problem before I just swap out all the parts (unless that's the only option).
Checked for a similar thread but didn't spot anything (but I likely missed an old post).
Any ideas??
Thanks

Not sure if anyone has ever had this problem, but I found a mechanic here who's recommended I swap out the motor for a 305 or 350. His thought is, you'll spend more I fixing the CEL than you need to and the car is an excellent choice as a donor. It has no rust anywhere and has a mint interior. My problem is is this might be one of the nicest V6 survivors I've seen in about 20 years. It's still 100% original, a low mileage example and I'm having troubles pulling it apart. If I can't fix the stall issue, then maybe it is a good choice to change out.

Problem Fixed.
Found a wrecker w about 12 C3 Camaro/Firebirds locally that was OK w pulling what I needed and returning what didn't work.
Tried changing the three relays, but it was a bad MAF Sensor in the end. Turns out it was cheaper to just swap out parts until the problem was fixed.
MAF Sensor was only $25 and it's an original GM Part. Issue Closed.
