69 block, plus 91 700r4

Please if anyone can help???? i have been hearing some unwanted things like, i can not use my 91 700r4 with a 69 block because of the rear main seals are not correct, so there for i have to use a pre-87 tranny. The thing is, i have put an awful lot of time and money into my 700r4 tranny and it is setup to pull some stunts if you know what i mean

but what i would like to know, is there a kit that i can buy or something that i could do to get this tranny to bolt up correctly to this 69 350 block that i have????

Damn this motor swap is starting to kill me
guess that is what makes it so fun!!!!!!!!!!

Thanx

I believe you just need the correct flexplate for the 2-pc rear seal engine, with the correct number of teeth to match the starter. Don't see why it can't/shouldn't work.

Right... get the flexplate for a 83-85 305 Camaro, it will bolt right up.

See if all three bolt holes are tapped for both style starters, that way it won't matter which flex plate you put on(153 or 168 tooth). You can then put a straight or staggered nose starter to match the flex plate. (I don't remember which goes with the small flexplate - staggered or straight?)
