Coolant fan switch
Can anyone tell me where the coolant fan switch is on a 305 tbi. Switch is either disconnected/broken. Fan comes on w/ the a/c but won't switch on to cool the engine.

Although I don't think the FS is your problem, it's located on the pass side head bewtween #8 and #6 plugs.
I think the TBI engines still control the fan through CTS to ECM to Fan Relay...The Fan Switch is there in case the ecm fails...I think...
I'd do a search for the CTS (located in the front of the intake) for resistance readings...it scales so that the higher the coolant temps are, the lower the resistance...down to about 200ohms at 220 degrees or so.
If you have a DMM, you can test it, and the ECM signal to the fan relay.
