New Engine Ideas

Anyone on here built a 400 small block? I'm looking at building a 427 stroker and I want to know what's involved for clearance and what I'm going to need.

Re: New Engine Ideas

Honestly, the power level that can be achieved with a 427, is also beyond what any stock 4 bolt main block is going to handle long term. This is going to be an expensive build so you should start with a Dart SHP 427 block. This will have priority main oiling, splayed 4 bolt caps, and is MUCH thicker and made from stronger high nickle cast iron. This way you can also build it with turbo or supercharging in mind.
