I just bought my first camaro it’s a 1992 camaro RS 305 TBI 25th anniversary heritage edition. I’m at 178 rwhp I want to make as much power as I can with this engine. If anyone’s can help that’s would be great thank you.

Swap the cam and valve springs, Dyno Don headers, intake, tuning, etc.
Should come in under your budget without too much fanfare. Could pretty easily turn 400 CHP.
The engine is about $2k. That's on purpose. You'll need the other $5k for supporting parts and mods. There's going to be a lot of little things that come up.

It's just one suggestion. There's other ways to skin that cat. But pretty much all of them will involve ditching the 305. The L31 is a tank of an engine and will make enough power to shred the factory drivetrain. You will want to be careful with the rear end and the transmission at that power level. The budget will not allow replacing that stuff also. That is all the engine you would want in front of stock drivetrain.
