Proper Vacuum Routing FTW
When you take your carburetor off to clean/tune/etc pay close attention to your vacuum hose routing.
Because (at least in my case) running your vacuum advance off manifold and your transmission off ported (instead of the other way around) can cause some real interesting issues (high idle, BIG rpm drop from park to drive, strange acceleration behavior. . . .really. . .REALLY quick shifts, etc).
Swapped 'em back and all is well. Enjoyed a nice long drive in the sun afterwards.
So here's your public service announcement. Learn from my goof.
