Need Advise About My Setup

Im puttin a 350 in my camaro with 350 horse power what i was wondering what would be a good stall for the stall converter.My car also has 3:73 in it and a 700R-4.I was thinkin a 2400 stall for it what do you guys think...........

Really depends on how big the camshaft is. This will determine
where in the power curve the torque kicks in.
The duration @.050" spec is the best/easiest indicator for this.
If it's under 230deg@.050" you'll be ok, if it's 230 or more,
you'd want a 2800 or higher stall speed. A single plane intake will like the higher stall also.

I've heard that you want to pick a converter that will stall about 500 rpm below your torque peak. That way you're not lugging the motor down to a level that's not making alot of torque.

If it was me, I would put in a 2800 stall w/lockup.

Good cam when used with a minimum 2800 stall
Kicks *** witha 3500 stall....
Use a Victor Jr or Performer RPM
If your stuck with a 2400 stall, it will do,, but I'd pick a smaller cam

Like this one

Grind 270H magnum
dur @ .050 224
lift .470"
rpm range 1800 -5800
Pn12-211-2

or grind 275 DEH Dual Energy
lift .462 .482
dur @.050 219 229
rpm rqange 2000 6000
works with a stock converter.
