Do any rear main sealers work?

Hello all,

For a couple of years now, I've had a very small, very slow rear main seal leak - not enough to cause me to have to add any oil in between changes, but enough leave very small puddles if the car sits for a few days. I know there are a variety of products out there that claim to be able to "fix" these, just wondering if any are worth the effort or money? Until it gets worse, I have no plans on replacing the seal.

Band-aid temporary fixes until you get the job repaired properly.

Re: Do any rear main sealers work?

Searching for the same thing and came across this topic. Does the Transmission have to come out or take the engine out to get at the rear main seal on the 350 Engines?

Easier to pull trans. Though either way will work. But yes pulling of the two is required.

That's what I figured Thanks.
My Buddy's hoist is all booked up in his shop so its either leak with my minor leak or put the car on jack stands in my garage and pull the transmission!

Yeah lifts have a way of being in use almost constantly. I have 5 of the damn things and I can't use them for my own rigs except on weekends and evenings... all the pesky customers whining about their cars being broken! lol.
