ignition module troubleshooting

Project car has a 1999 3.1 V6 using a 7727 ECM and harness from a 92 Lumina 3.1. Car has been running great but died a few days ago. I quickly found the blown 10A ignition fuse and replaced it. Car ran fine for a few days but then died again. I checked the fuse and it is still good so I checked the crank sensor which is good. I then removed the ign control module and checked it at Autozone. The ICM checked bad so I bought a new one. After installing the new ICM, the engine will fire randomly (like a distributor engine with the distributor 180 out) but will not start. With the old ICM there was no spark at all so at least there is some progress but still not running. I did get the new ICM tested just to be sure and it tested good.

Anything else I need to check or reset when installing the new ICM?

Thanks
