Hi everyone, I have a lq4 truck engine that had a 4l80e on it when I bought it and I got the flex plate that came with it and I bought a new 4l80e from gearstar and the holes on my flex plate are a lot bigger than the torque converter bolts that I have. (I have a pair that came with the trans and a set of ARP bolts). Is this normal or do i need a new flexplate? The bead covers the holes on the flexplate but the holes just seem way big

Doesn't really matter as long as you use a proper flange bolt that will spread the load to the flexplate. Torque them to spec with blue Loctite.

Awesome, thanks. My ARP bolts have a flange head and should do fine
