upgraded fuel pump
I think my pump may be going the way of the dodo bird. ive read the walbro 225 is a good replacement for our cars. is that pump good for tbi cars as well or is that just the tpi? I want an upgrade as I plane to upgrade the motor. however im never going to be making huge power so no reason to over do it.

Re: upgraded fuel pump
I really hated my 255. It was loud, for no reason.
If you go with a stock 305 TPI pump (I went with Bosch) you'll have way more than enough pressure. The Bosch is so quiet you barely know it's runnin (opposite of their injectors, haha)
Seeing as TBI is like 12psi any TPI pump will be leagues more LPH.

I also went to a Bosch and yeah, it's stupid quiet. Old one appeared to be a Carter unit and it was loud and sickly sounding at times.
Can you use a TPI pump with TBI? Not sure if it'll overwhelm the regulator or something.

I use a 93 CPI Astro van pump in the G-vans and trucks. Its about 190 LPH at 58 psi.

Re: upgraded fuel pump
when I googled the pumps I came up with a couple of things. there are the pumps alone and then the whole sending unit with a new sock and all. there is nothing wrong with my sending unit but if I removed it to put in a new pump I would want to replace the sock and 0 -rings. did you guys do just the pump or the whole unit?

Re: upgraded fuel pump
Deatschwerks DW200 is a very quiet turbine pump - 255 LPH. We have used literally hundreds of them. About $90 for a kit for a C4 Vette which is close enough. Make sure you have a regulator capable of shunting this much volume.
