Can U help a lost Englishman locate the EGR valve
Can U help a lost Englishman locate the EGR valve
Where is the EGR Valve located on my 89 Trans Am (305 LB9, TPI Engine,).
Also, my oil and temp warning lights aren't working. The bulbs are OK, and the oil and temp guages work fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thnks for the photo , vader and for your concern.
Yes I think I might be having trouble, but I need to narrow down the problem by replacing parts.
I'll explain...when the car is cold, it starts and runs fine. When it gets warmed thru, it will cougjh and splutter all the way thru the revs and does not accelrate very well. There is also some pre ignition noise. Gas mileage is awful (10 to 12 at best and at approxover $5 a gallon that hurts!)
Because the car starts OK, I have ruled out the ignition system, so on my next trip to the USA, I will get the follwing parts: Air Filter, EGR Valve, O2 sensor,Fuel Filter, Thermostat (current 'stat only reads 150 on the temp guage).
Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks again
