Air bleeding Oil pressure gauge? False reading?
Made the switch to synthetic and I noticed the line running to my oil pressure gauge has many sediments of oil, from really dirty/dark oil to cleaner/lighter oil and in between. When I rev it up I can see the sediments bunch up and was wondering if that could throw off the reading. Probably doesn't make a difference since its just pressure right? Might try bleeding line just to see if it makes a difference.

The fact that you can see anything in the tubing connecting to your oil pressure gauge means that you've got the wrong tubing hooking it up ......
Yeah yeah , , , I know , they sell the plastic garbage with the gauge , but it's the worst stuff to use because it will , no , not it may , but WILL , eventually harden , become brittle , and break , soaking your carpet with oil .
The right stuff to use is copper tubing , it comes in the same size as the plastic crap , fits the same compression fittings , and at least at my local autoparts store is sold on the same rack with the gauges .......

When you redo it with copper, make sure you leave several coils at the fixed ends like the gauge and the engine for stress relief. If you don't the copper will work harden and break off at the fittings. Also be VERY careful tightening the ferrules as it doesn't take much to damage the tubing.
