Car starting problems please help.
Car starting problems please help.
I have 2017 chevy malibu LT 1.5L. The only way I can get the car to start is to hit the start/stop button wait a second and hit again to stop it from turning over. I keep repeating until it starts.
Issues I have. Break pedal is hard to press. Maybe hole in vacuum line. The car goes into limp mode every once in a while so know I need to replace Accelerator Pedal sensor. Shows Engine power reduced and service stabilitrak, on the dash. Did get the trouble code list but can not find them at this moment but one was for crankshaft position sensor. I replaced that today and replaced the 2 camshaft sensors a week ago. Have not been able to get car hooked up to try to clear crank sensor trouble code yet. If you need it I can go to advance and ask them to do it. I do not know cars very well and my knowledge is what I read online unfortunately.
My question is what is causing the car not to start properly so I can fix it first. I know the brake issue and the pedal sensor is a must to replace but I am on a super tight budget and can only do 1 repair each payday. The car is the only thing allowing me to feed my family since we lost our jobs because of shutdown so need to make sure it will start when I come out the store to deliver an order. And can't afford to keep buying parts that don't seem like there was an issue with them in first place.
Please please help me.

Re: Car starting problems please help.
Newsflash: this forum is only for questions and problems pertaining to 1982-92 Camaros and Firebirds. It's pretty safe to say that no one on here is going to have much experience diagnosing a 1.5L engine in a late model Malibu.
At any rate, something that new with problems that exotic probably needs to go to the Chevy dealer for diagnosis. Are you sure it's even out of factory warranty? Your repair could be 100% covered by the dealer if it's been less than 3 years from the car's original date of purchase, and has under 36,000 miles.
