U guys wont belive this..
Alright the car has been great for the mean time, so 3 days ago I go to wash the car, driving by my school my car seemed like the tranny slipped casue the car wasent going anywhere, so I pull into the school and the car stalls. start her back up idles very rough and it dies agian, I open the hood check for anything dissconnected or whatever, nothing everything is in place. call up some friends they follow me home and we take a look, the car has NO ***** now its like slower than a K-car, it struggles to gain RPMs and it stalls, and also back fires. Its a burtal start also. Anyways the next day it seemed fine!? After I added some gas treatment stuff thinkin it was just bad gas. Nope!
I drove it to school it wasent stalling this time, but the engine was violently shaking the whole car!!!! It was ****ING brutal.
Got her home, checked codes 33,45.. ok MAp sensor??
So anyways, I go to start the car up and than my starter goes.. great.. 3rd starter is now offically ****ed on this car, But HA I got a warrenty so its going to crappy tire to get fixed today. I need to get a Map sensor thou cause I start my Co-Op job in a few days. ANyone got one of these sitting around?

Actually I had a problem similar to you a few weeks ago during my months of hell... (not car hell, just personal hell)
My problem was that I had opened my hood when there was water on it and my car was on a incline with the nose facing down. This caused the "salt water" to flow down the firewall and contaminate the distributor area when I opened my hood.
I managed to get it up and running again after taking a hairdryer to the area affected, but later down the line it stalled on me while on the way to work, was backfiring and just brutal. Luckilly after a few tries it came back to life and haven't had a problem since and no codes.
If water got into the back area then you could have had a far worse short than I had which is causing you the grief. Repair/replace the affected components and see how it turns out for you.

Alright, here's my analyse on this Dave...a code 45 is the O2 sensor. If this has gone bad (weren't you talking about that the other night?) it could cause the car to behave in the way that you described. If it was stalling and idling poor, than that would cause low vaccuum and possibly cause the MAP sensor to throw a code. I say ignore the MAP sensor for now and consider replacing the O2 sensor first, because I think the MAP is fine. If you can afford to buy the O2 sensor, than I can help you put it in as I have the special tool for it.
