Car: 88 Trans Am
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:42 open diff
Transmission rough or misfire
I just rebuilt my transmission. On the transmission forum I have detailed info of my progress. The car is shaking when put into gear, under the hood it appears to be a smooth idle and it’s starts quick can misfires cause messed up shift points especially in 1st and 2nd gear. I don’t feel any slippage( as in rpms fluttering when shifting). There is hesitation even before 1st shift even starts

Off the line is when I feel the stumble the most it is hesitating could even one of wires crossed cause it to still run

Could be. Easiest way to find out is to pull plugs and look to see if anything seems odd. Ign wire arcing somewhere or a fouled plug. Being TBI, it's less likely to be a fuel issue like an individual injection.

Here is some pics of the plugs I’m still having problems. I smell burning metallic smell almost a caustic smell, it’s got to be running lean
