Hi Guys,
I manually put my transmission into 1st gear and then rev it until about 5500rpm... but before I can shift it up into 2nd gear, it shifts on its own! What would cause this? A weak component?

Any info would be appreciated.

All stock 700R4's do this. The TransGo Performance Shift kit allows you to hold 1st gear to any rpm. I carry the modified version of these.

 

Thanks for the reply! So will it shift up thru all gears like this? Or is it just first? I thought the point of putting it manually in 1st is so it won't shift up?
