Help!!! what is this pipe part my oil filter is stuck on?
Hello, I was trying to remove a stuck oil filter from my 1987 formula Firebird. As I was trying to do this the filter fell out attached to a piece of threaded pipe. I can’t find this part online. I need to replace the pipe part because the filter will not come off of it. It is threaded on both ends. On the inside at one end and outside at the other.
I don’t know what it is called. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I think the threaded nipple came out the oil filter adapter, if I'm understanding correctly. I'm not sure the thread size of the nipple but that could potentially be gotten from a local hardware store. Otherwise buy a new adapter and bolt it back on the engine. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mel-mfa350?rrec=true

ahhh yes, I wasn't thinking any thirdgens had sandwich type oil coolers factory or not. Mild brain lapse. Two ways to replace it, remove it and use the adapter I linked earlier or put in a new cooler.
